Mandy Jackson-Beverly is an author, host of The Bookshop Podcast, public speaker, teaching consultant, and book reviewer for the New York Journal of Books. She worked as a costume designer and stylist for an array of creative dynamos, including photographer Herb Ritts, directors Joel and Ethan Coen, David Fincher, Diane Keaton, Steve Barron, and Julien Temple, and music icons David Bowie, Madonna, George Michael, Billy Idol, Tom Petty, and Tina Turner to name a few. Mandy is a confessed bibliophile and believes independent bookshops are the gems of communities and authors are the rock stars of the literary world. She profoundly understands and appreciates what it takes to write a book and present it to readers and is instinctively curious and enjoys connecting with her guests. Mandy presents publishing and creative writing workshops for the University of London, Cal Poly, Publishers & Writers (San Diego, Orange County), California Writers Club, Writers & Publishers Network, Ventura Writers club, and served as a guest interviewer for BookFest, Los Angeles. Mandy writes creative non-fiction and fiction and avidly supports independent bookshops worldwide.
